**MARCH 19, 2024, AMSTERDAM -** A new coffee movement is starting with the launch of Philips Baristina - a ground-breaking, stylish coffee machine that will democratize cafe-quality coffee. The new movement frees coffee from a wide range of limitations: from capsules and complex machines and difficult skills. Now everyone can enjoy an authentic, fresh bean espresso experience at home with one effortlessly simple swipe. 

The easy-to-swipe portafilter kickstarts the Philips Baristina to do all the hard work, making hassle-free, barista-quality espresso accessible in every home. The Philips Baristina allows coffee to be experienced in new ways - freeing people from the confines of capsule coffee and coffee-shop prices.

Designed to act as your own personal mini-barista, Philips Baristina gives you complete autonomy to be free with your choice of beans and works seamlessly to deliver a best-in-class brew every single time. 

No matter which beans you choose, all it takes is just a simple swipe to start the Philips Baristina, which grinds your beans to the perfect size and drops the grounds into the portafilter. The 16-bar pressure pump releases full-on flavor from your beans, so your coffee tastes and smells just like a barista made it.

When the coffee is ready, simply pop the puck and drop the used grounds into the local food recycling. With no messy hidden compartments, you can rinse the portafilter or just wipe with a cloth, meaning no tapping, no scrubbing and no hassle. 

For those who want to add milk, the Baristina milk frother whisks up hot and cold milk in seconds, making it easy to perfect any coffee style – simple to use, and extremely easy to clean.

Energy-efficient* and made with more than 50% recycled plastics**, Baristina brews real espresso with reduced use of virgin materials. The appliance comes in plastic-free packaging made using over 90% recycled paper and is 100% recyclable. Unlike capsule machines, there’s no plastic or aluminium waste from capsules - the used coffee grounds can go straight to your plants’ soil or to local food recycling.

**Versuni, Amsterdam, February 27, 2024 –** Versuni, a leading global home appliance company, announced today that President & CEO, Henk S. de Jong, has decided to step down from his role after over three decades of service at Royal Philips and Versuni. Véronique Pauwels will be joining the company as President & CEO, effective March 21, 2024.

Chairman of Versuni’s Board of Directors, Sean Carney, commented, “On behalf of Versuni’s Board of Directors, I would like to thank Henk S. de Jong for his leadership during the past four years. He has been a driving force behind the company's transition to a standalone company with a strong growth trajectory. Véronique has more than 25 years of global experience supporting Boards and CEOs in addressing their most pressing strategic challenges, while holding major leadership roles within Bain.

**January 8, 2024, Amsterdam:** Versuni, home to some of the world’s most renowned domestic appliance brands, announces the launch of the Philips Home Safety 5000 series – a range of home safety appliances dedicated to ensuring loved ones feel safe and at home, no matter where you are. The range includes an indoor 360° camera, a wireless spotlight camera, wireless video doorbell, and motion sensor plugs featuring world first combined Wi-Fi and thread sensing technology. The Series 5000 seamlessly blends engineering excellence with an aesthetic design available in light or dark grey to become an integral part of your home.

**Wireless Sensing without any blind spots**
The Philips Home Safety 5000 series is the world-first home safety range featuring non-line-of sight-motion sensors that detect presence without being hindered by blind spots or interference from walls or other objects thanks to the combined Wi-Fi and thread sensing technology. Thread is a wireless standard that enables smart home devices to work together through a mesh network without requiring a third-party hub or service.

These cutting-edge motion sensors - developed by Versuni in partnership with Artificial Intelligence of Things (‘AIoT’) company Nami – can reliably detect motions in homes in real-time without needing a camera in every room. The intelligent sensing technology, powered by machine learning algorithms, can filter out vacuum bots and pets, in addition to detecting human presence. Unlike traditional PIR motion sensors, they are immune to high temperature impact or sunlight rays.

**Instant Setup, Reliable and 24-hour access**
The Philips Home Safety camera, doorbells and sensors are hub-free, making them easy and quick to install. The digital motion sensing software is embedded in a smart plug for minimum intrusion and visibility, a pack of three sensors and a door sensor that can create a zone of up to 1.500 sq ft, which can be extended by adding more sensors or additional zones.

The dedicated Philips Home Safety app provides users 24/7 control and insights into their home security from anywhere. Thanks to dual storage capabilities, the cameras and doorbell record locally to an SD card, and can also back up the content to the cloud. Should the Wi-Fi drop, the smart home devices will continue to record locally. End-to-end encryption of equal standard as those trusted by banks guarantees the safe preserving of recordings.

Philips Home Safety Series 5000 is expected to launch in March 2024 in Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and India, with additional countries to follow throughout 2024. This new home safety range follows the successful launch of Philips Home Safety Series 3000 in India last year.

**January 3, 2024, Amsterdam:** Versuni, home to some of the world’s most renowned domestic appliances brands, including Philips, Saeco, Gaggia, Preethi, Philips Walita, Senseo and L’OR Barista, announces the opening of its  new manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad, India. The unveiling of the factory marks a significant leap in its commitment to India as a strategic growth market. The inauguration ceremony on January 3, 2024 was attended by global Versuni CEO Henk S. de Jong and Versuni India CEO Gulbahar Taurani. 

With an investment to bolster local infrastructure and foster employment opportunities, Versuni anticipates the creation of more than 1000 new jobs within the community over the next three years. These positions will span various fields including engineering, manufacturing, logistics, quality control, and administrative roles, and will contribute significantly to the region's economic prosperity, empowering individuals to contribute to Versuni’s success in India.

The cornerstone of the new facility will be the production of widely acclaimed flagship products including the Philips Airfryers and Philips garment steamers, embracing the paradigm shift in Indian consumer preferences. In response to the soaring demand, Versuni will manufacture the Philips Airfryer for the first time in India with a fully integrated automatic robotic coating line. Versuni is committed to local manufacturing with an initial annual capacity of 500,000 Philips AirFryers in phase 1 and 200,000 Philips garment steamers in phase 2, which can be scaled up to a total of one million pieces per year to keep pace with demand. The facility also adheres to the highest global standards, including CE certification, ensuring that manufacturing processes meet the stringent quality benchmarks demanded by the international market.
